5. The Cross Overlook/The Farmhouse That Never WasJust 1.5 miles up the road from Kamp Klamath. Scenic overlook of the ocean and river. The Farmhouse that never was, was a farmhouse built as a decoy to hide a submarine radar installation during WWII.

OverlookTake Requa Road off highway 101 and it takes you to the top of the mountain on the opposite side of the Klamath River. Breathtaking views on sunny days. Look for the resident pod of gray whales out there...

8. Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway/Elk MeadowsNine mile drive through the amazing redwoods. Features "The Big Tree" and "The Corkscrew Tree" and miles of terrific hiking trails.
9. The Battery Point LighthouseAlong the beautiful coast in Crescent City. Open till 4pm and accessible depending on the tides.

10. Fern Canyon
Located at the the southern end of Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway. Eight miles to the ocean on a dirt road. Those brave enough to make the journey will be well rewarded.
