Sushi By The Bay is my new favorite restaurant!

Hamilton and I have driven past this place a million times, but Friday night we decided to give it a try.  Unassuming on the outside, it is comfortable with lots of seating inside and a heated patio if you care to dine out doors.

Before you even order, you are brought a hot bowl of delicious miso soup.    Friday we both chose the dinner Bento Box Combination which gives you salad, steamed rice and three choices of a dozen items which include sashimi, tempura, chicken and beef terryiaki, gyzoa and a number of sushi rolls.  Or you can leave it up to the chef to surprise you with one of his specialties.

Portions are generous, price moderate and well worth the meal.

The mixed tempura is light and the vegetables and shrimp are really wonderful.  The Gyzoa is flavorful, light and crispy.    I also loved the miso dressing on the salad.    (I don't eat raw fish...ha!)   Hamilton loved the sushi and sashimi...fresh, flavorful and beautiful to look at.
