So RVers, you want to come to the Monterey Peninsula!

There's so much to do on the Monterey Peninsula, but for those of us who enjoy the RV lifestyle, you may think your choices are limited and expensive.  So! Let me tell you about  one of the best kept secrets in town.   The "Laguna Seca Recreation Area" has a terrific RV Park!

The area is hidden on the top of a mountain, next to the amazing Mazda Speedway, just off Highway 68.   The area is a mere 7 miles to all the attractions in Monterey, Carmel, and Pebble Beach plus lots of shopping!

Besides the thrill of being able to watch racers try to master the track, hiking and biking abound.   The views of the valley and the Fort Ord Monument are truly breathtaking.  The nights are magnificently quiet and the stars seem to go on forever.

There are 103 sites of varying sizes with water and electric hookups.   There is an easy accessible dump located on the main level.   There are another 70 sites for RV dry camping and/or tent camping.   All sites have a picnic table and a fire pit.   There are  two bathroom/shower buildings.  One in Chaparral campground and the other in the Grand Prix campground.  Grand Prix also has a play structure for kids.

There is a meeting room available for large groups and RV Clubs.  The building has a kitchen, patio, BBQ pits and bathrooms.

Tents and tent camping, along with RV sites is allowed.  There are some spectacular tent camping sites....out in nature, yet close to town.

You gotta love it!

Top RV price: $37/night.  Discounts for seniors and military.
