RIDE YOUR BIKE ON THE MAZDA RACEWAY!
RVing and bicycles go together. Well over half of the RV's have a bicycle rack and more than one bike on them. Well, RVers..how about the ultimate bike ride?
Once a month, the race cars get off the track and bicycles are allowed on the world class Mazda Raceway at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area. Right above the raceway is the beautiful RV park so, it's perfection for RVers. The 11 turn, 2.238 mile track opens for RVers from 5:30 to 7:30 October 14th...cost to ride is $10 and it's open to all levels of bicyclists.
The ride is highlighted by the legendary Corkscrew that drops an equivalent of 5 1/2 stories. It's a beautiful ride at twilight in this gorgeous setting.
If you didn't bring your bike with you on your travels, then call Bay Bikes. You can rent a bike for the evening and they will bring it to you at the track and take it back when you are finished with your ride. Call them at: 831-655-2453 or visit their website at:www.baybikes.com
There are plenty of RV sites available...water and electricity with an easy and convenient dump station. So, grab the family, pack up the RV, mount the bikes on the back and come to Laguna Seca Recreation Area Wednesday, then maybe make a long weekend out of it in your RV or tent. It is a beautiful place to be!
