The number of wonderful things to do just 15 minutes away from Laguna Seca RV Park is amazing! One of the favorite events is the daily (7 days a week) tour that Doug Lumsden puts on with his
Monterey Movie Tours. You meet the large comfortable bus at the corner of Alvarado and Del Monte in Monterey and for the next 3 hours you will be highly entertained! Doug takes you on a tour of the locations of over 20 major movies filmed on the Peninsula.. He has a running explanation and the movie corresponding to that location is showing on the screen in front of the bus. Movies covered, of course, include Play Misty for Me, A Summer Place, Star Trek, Turner and Hooch and many more. Doug is a wealth of movie information, having served at one time as the Director of the Monterey Film Commission. Cost of the tour is $65 for adults, $55 for seniors, and much less for young people. He has other discounts such as AAA. You need reservations but, can book them on line or by phone as late as 30 minutes before the tour if it isn't full. Just go to
