The RV Park at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area turned into a cyclists' heaven as over 70,000 people brought their tents, RV's and bicycles to the 26th Annual Sea Otter Classic.

The Sea Otter Classic, North America's largest gathering of bicycle enthusiasts is underway! Under blue skies and cool temperatures, riders hit the trails and runs in an effort to sharpen their skills for the big races on Saturday and Sunday.



The RV Park at the Laguna Seca Recreation area is packed to the brim with RV and tent campers....each one with a handful of bicycles parked beside them. (As I  write this, I smell the wood burning fire...

It's Tuesday, April 12th and the Sea Otter Classic is about to begin in just two days!  Some early birds have checked into the RV Park and are riding up and down the steep hills practicing, while hundreds of vendors are setting up their tents around the lake.  




Several dirt tracks are being built and test runs are being done on the downhill track to make sure every turn is perfect.

One of the major pastimes of both visitors and locals alike in Monterey County is just getting in the car and taking a drive... The Monterey Peninsula is so full things to do for kids and families.  And The RV Park at Laguna Seca Recreation Area is the perfect place to headquarter during your visit!  You can hike and bike, watch the cars on the track or go exploring right here, but if you are ready for more, here are some activities that your kiddos will enjoy.
