The 8th annual Whalefest Monterey is happening again at Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey on
Jan 27 - Jan 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This annual event, free and family friendly, celebrates the migration of the grey whale. There is a two day seminar with lectures and documentaries related to ocean and marine life conservation hosted by scientists from all over the country.
There will be music, educational displays by different organizations, whale watching tours (weather permitting), a Coast Guard Boat display, a model of a 60 foot long Humpback whale and much more!
Did you know that there are 15 species of whales, 10 species of dolphins and 2 species of porpoise that have been spotted in the Monterey Bay?
Come and learn more about whales, the ocean and the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. Enjoy all the action at Fisherman's Wharf!
