Senior VP Dennis Wharton gives us a preview of NAB Radio Show in extensive audio interview...Click here to hear it on Radio Star Radio

As Hurricane Ike rolls across Texas, the NAB staff in Austin is putting the final touches on the convention center to begin the NAB Radio Show this Wednesday at the Austin Convention Center.  Forecasters say the storm will be out of the area by Monday, so timing is good for the event.  Dennis tells us that registration is good, despite the storm, high gas prices and the economy. 3,000 people have already signed up...about average for the show. Some of the top people in the industry, including FCC Commissioners Kevin Martin and Joseph Adelstein will be there. Various time level execs like David Field of Entercom and Dan Mason of CBS will be there.  Top issues like the "performance" push from the RIAA, the "localism" disussion and the impending election where Democrats in power could mean a revival of the Fairness Doctrine will also be in the forefront of the minds of broadcasters.  Dennis talks about each of these issues in our extensive interview..click here to go to Radio Star Radio to hear it...
