The sale of Sheridan's three radio stations in Pittsburgh to a Catholic organization will leave the home of Porky Chedwick with no urban radio station. Sheridan announced last Friday they were selling urban WAMO-FM (106.7), R&B-and-talk station WAMO-AM (860) and gospel station WPGR-AM (1510) to St. Joseph Missions for $8.9 million. The stations are expected to shift to religious programming....particularly, Catholic programming...All jocks on the stations were reportedly let go and the stations are now jockless. 35 employees were fired.... More on this story from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette here..
