Cox radio reported a 69% decline in earnings in the first quarter this morning while Radio One says they lost $59.4 million for Q1 as compared to the same quarter in 2008.This follows a 22% revenue drop reported by Clear Channel.  Cox is being acquired by majority owner Cox Enterprises. Cox radio issued its first quarter report this week and it shows that profits are down about 5% from last year.  The company shows a net income of  $12.8 million on $97.8 million in revenue, compared withnet income of $13.5 million on $100.8 million in revenue in the firstquarter of 2007.
