Today, a New York federal appeals court ruled the U.S. Federal Communications indecency rules are unconstitutional. The Court ruled the policy is "unconstitutionally vague" and violates First Amendment rights guaranteeing freedom of speech to all Americans.

WASHINGTON -- The Federal Communications Commission adopted an order yesterday by a 3-0 vote allowing AM radio stations to use FM translators, granting AM stations the ability to enhance their reach within a local community. Senate Passes Fairness Doctrine Ban-NAB is Happy

WASHINGTON -- The Senate voted to ban the reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine, a long-defunct broadcasting regulation that was taken off the books in 1987, by adopting two amendments to the D.C. House Voting Rights Act today.

The amendment sponsored by Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) would not only ban the Fairness Doctrine, but it would also prohibit the Federal Communications Commission from encouraging broadcasters to air local news...
