Nielsen, owners of Radio and Records magazine as well as Billboard announced this morning they were shutting down R&R after 35 years of publication.  All employees are being let go, meaning their website will shut down as well.  Some of the music charts in R&R will reportedly be incorporated into Billboard. The announcement pointed to the down economy as the reason for the exit.  Reportedly, the publication will shut their doors this Friday....
