Former Oregon U.S. Senator Gordon Smith opened his first NAB Show convention as NAB President and he told the audience of several thousand that he was "very proud to be part of this industry, and I will work my heart out for you."  He pointed to three main concerns for broadcasters....the proposed music industry tax on radio, the FCC's push to grab spectrum from television and the TV fight with cable over retransmission fees.  Complete text of the speech is here... We were able to get down front and grab some video clips of the speech with our Droid..
