Taco Bell...really?  Now I wouldn't have wasted my time posting about a fast food place if it wasn't incredible.   I'm talking about the location and design more than I am the food, although I love Taco Bell and their food is consistant from store to store.

This Taco Bell sits right on the Pacifica State Beach and the views of the ocean don't get any better.   The back patio, which features tables and benches, sits right on the sand with a small staircase taking you right onto the beach.

The contemporary dining room has large windows on every wall, serving up spectacular views. To keep the inside clean, surfers, swimmers and anyone with sandy feet  are encouraged to use the walk up window located on the back patio.

It's worth the trip just for the fun of it to stop by...It's only about 12 minutes north on Hwy 1 from Pillar Point RV Park.   You'll see it on the left when you come into town.    The ride there is also spectacular along the coast.  There will be some twists and turns, but the road is very driveable.   People take this route to work every day....

Did you know...

Taco Bell was founded in Southern California in 1962 by Glen Bell who invented the pre-fab hard taco shell...

Bell passed away on January 17, 2010.  He was 86 years old.

Taco Bell now serves more than 2 billion diners each year in more than 5,800 restaurants in the US.

Over 2 billion tacos and 1 billion burritos of all varieties are served in Taco Bell restaurants each year.
