For the first time in 18 years, the city will host an outdoor event at the Johnston House on Higgins-Purisima Road, located on the south end of town. The historic saltbox structure will be the backdrop for a "Cinco de Mayo" inspired day of music.
Bring a blanket or chair, maybe a snack or lunch and enjoy the afternoon festivities!
Be a part of Half Moon Bay History! (Sunscreen and water a must)
If you are so inclined, also bring a note or photo to be entered into the Half Moon Bay Time Capsule that will be opened at the City's 100th Anniversary Celebration!
Schedule of Entertainment:
Mariachi San Francisco
Ballet Folklorico Tonantzin
Mariachi Media Luna
Headlining the day.....LaTido

This event could turn into something really big, so go early to get a good spot. There are no designated parking areas, so most will be parking in the train depot area at the bottom of the hill or on the sides of local roads.
Food booths may pop up, but again, bring your own snacks if you are staying for the day.
If you are NOT attending the event, best to do any shopping or errands on Saturday. Traffic should be slow at best.
Directions:To get to the Johnston House, take a right onto Highway One as you exit Pillar Point RV Park. Go approximately five miles. Take a left on Higgins-Purisima Road. You will see the fire department on the far left. You will see the white house at the top of the hill on the left. If you pass Cameron's British Pub on the right, you have gone too far.
