The 4th of July was just about perfect here at Pillar Point RV Park.   The weather was very nice. Alternating sunshine and cool fog made for a not too hot, not too cold day. Lots of groups and families joined us at the park.  Most pulled in on Tuesday and the park was sold out on Wednesday for the weekend.  It actually turned out to be more than just a one day celebration!  Bonfires, BBQ's wafting the most mouth-watering smells, and the laughter of friends and families rang through the day and evenings.

Everyone was in a good mood.  Kids set up a sno-cone stand and sold bubbles and glow in the dark necklaces and wands.  Their proceeds went to McPaws, an animal shelter in their home neighborhood.  They sold out their wares quickly and raised over $30.00 for the shelter!  Way to go!

Here's a slideshow (to the music only version of "God Bless The USA"...provide your own singing, please.) of some of the people and their pets that had a great time here this 4th. I also included the painted horse from Lemo's Farm that you pass on Hwy 92 when to come into Half Moon Bay.  So many of the RVer's that arrive comment on the horse and look forward to what he will be "wearing" each time they come for a visit. Keep scrolling down after the slide show to find out some fun facts we just learned about this July 4th and what was the number one song played in 35 out of 50 states....

Did you know?
