If you are a music lover, one of the most enjoyable things you can do while you are staying at Pillar Point RV Park, is attend an afternoon at the "Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society."  (scroll down for video)

Located within walking distance along the ocean, the Douglas Beach house, owned by Pete Douglas, has been home to the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society featuring jazz and other genres of music since 1964.


Where did the name "Bach Dancing...

Just half an hour away from Pillar Point RV park is the seven hundred acre Coyote Point recreation area... Just go straight across 92 East to highway 101 go north for 3 miles and you're there...  (Take video tour below)

There are no coyotes at coyote point, it was most likely named after the original owner of the grant from Mexico, Coyetano Arenas. 

Coyote Point features a pistol and rifle range, miles of hiking trails through the fores...

A must thing to do while you are staying at Pillar Point RV Park is to walk, bike or drive over to Pillar Point Beach and take a walk on the path around the Air Force station to the Maverick's surf area.  It's peaceful and it's beautiful.  Walk on the path or drive north on Highway 1 to Capistrano and turn left..follow the street around to the Mezza Luna restaurant and turn left on Prospect...a short block, turn right on Broadway...as ...



Taco Bell...really?  Now I wouldn't have wasted my time posting about a fast food place if it wasn't incredible.   I'm talking about the location and design more than I am the food, although I love Taco Bell and their food is consistant from store to store.





This Taco Bell sits right on the Pacifica State Beach and the views of the ocean don't get any better.   The back patio, which features tables and benches, sits right...

We took a drive today south on Highway One today to Pigeon Point Lighthouse.    We stopped at a number of beaches along the way before we came to the lighthouse.   The lighthouse is about 24 miles south of Pillar Point RV Point, where we are staying.  It is open from 8am to sunset.  No charge for walking the grounds. Restrooms available.
