I took a short walk down to the harbor on Thursday after I saw a number of semi-trucks lined up on the wharf. Turns out crab is so plentiful here, that they are shipping them all over the west coast.   Here's what I saw!

Commercial crab season has begun and they are seeing the same abundance of crab that the sport fishermen have been experiencing.    The boats are coming back early every day heavily loaded with BIG crab!

Sport Fishing:  November 1, 2014
Commercial:  November 15, 2014



The daily limit is 10 crab. 


The minimum size limit is 5¾ inches measured by the shortest through the body from edge of shell to edge of shell in front of and excluding the lateral spines.
