What a day, what a day, what a wonderful day Sunday was! (except the 49er loss)   Besides being a spectacularly beautiful day...perfect 68 degree temperature, sunny skies and a slight cool breeze, the marine animal kingdom kept us all very entertained.

Fishermen say if you want to know where the fish are, then watch the birds.  ...

I've said it before, but you never know what's going to happen when you stay a Pillar Point RV Park.   A short walk along the bike path today brought a delightful surprise to all who witnessed it.   A dot.com company landed a big client and today, treated their employees by renting out the entire "Sam's Chowder House" restaurant.

Another perfect day in paradise!  Blue skies, light breeze, not too hot, not too cold.

"Grey Whale Cove" is just north of Pillar Point RV Park on Highway One.   There is limited parking but the beach is worth following the path down to the ocean.   I was standing high on a bluff overlooking the beach when I took this photo.   Those ant-like things on the beach are people!   ...

DIGGING FOR GEODUCK ON PILLAR POINT BEACH



One day last week the tide was way, way out....shockingly way out.  In fact, boats coming in from fishing and crabbing couldn't pull their boats out because the water was down past the launch.    Taking a walk on the beach was incredible and I saw a large number of people at the water's edge and digging for something.... ...
