It was a great Memorial Day weekend here at Pillar Point!  The wind died down and the sun made an appearance from behind the summer clouds.   There were kids were playing a number of outside games and riding bikes as well as old friends and new taking it easy Pillar Point style in lounge chairs sipping cocktails!

There were flags flying in the garden to remind us the real meaning of the holiday.

Happy Memorial Day from Pillar Point RV Park

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May.  It honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.  Unofficially it marks the beginning of summer.
