Rvers and Golf..one of those partnerships that you see a lot on the road. (One RVers we recently interviewed spent $50,000 more on a big RV because the RV he had didn't have any room for his golf clubs.) When you are staying at Pillar Point RV Park you are just about 10 minutes away from the beautiful Half Moon Bay golf course, with its shore course and the old course. The shore course has some of the most beautiful views of any course in the world, including the incredible Ritz Carlton hotel itself.
Just about 20 minutes away, also on the ocean is the Sharp Park Golf Course in Pacifica.
The interesting thing about Half Moon Bay Golf course is they have no driving range. And, the property at Sharp Park is so limited that their driving range is a "driving cage" where you are hitting the golf balls about 30 yards into a screen.
Well, just five minutes away from Half moon Bay is the Ocean View Golf Driving range, and it is just that, "ocean" view." Besides the view and fresh salt air smell, the thing I most like about Ocean View is that you drive your car right up to the tees..no lugging bags up a hill or a distance away. They have a very nice putting and chipping area and something else I haven't seen (or at least noticed), a fairway bunker so you can hit long shots out of a sandtrap.
The cost for balls is very reasonable...all I wanted to hit for just $6 but, they have bigger buckets.
