The 164th Annual San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival attracts around
100,000 people every year. It is one of the city’s most popular events.
The parade starts at 11:30am. The route begins at Market and 2nd then winds its way to the Civic Center. With over 5,000 participants, it's the biggest St. Patrick's Day parade west of the Mississippi.
A free festival is located at the Civic Center Plaza and runs from 10am-5pm. The festival
showcases Irish Culture through live performance and entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitors, food and beverage concessions, children's rides and inflatables, cultural displays, a petting zoo and pony ride and a number of non-profits booths representing the Irish community....along with a never ending supply of green beer.
