You'll find displays of gigantic, heavyweight champion pumpkins, three stages of entertainment, non-stop live music, the Great Pumpkin Parade, a thrilling Haunted House and harvest-inspired crafts. Plus food that is everything pumpkin. The Festival is traditionally held on the weekend after Columbus Day in October during prime pumpkin-picking season.

Every year, expert pumpkin carver, Farmer Mike, sculpts a monster 1,200+ pound pumpkin into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Family entertainment includes a costume contest, pumpkin carving, games, and a pie eating contest.
The Pumpkin Festival, started in 1971, is one of the oldest and largest local festivals in California. Proceeds go to local civic causes and to the beautification of the downtown area of Half Moon Bay.
Because the traffic is notoriously horrendous and because space goes quick, you may want to pick out your perfect spot at Pillar Point RV Park a couple of days early and then stay a day or so later, so you can have a clear shot heading home. The park is first come, first serve, so it's up to you to decide when to arrive.
Bring your bike and ride to downtown, (3 flat miles) that way you'll avoid the traffic and won't have to worry about parking!
