At least 12 private parks across Texas still have campsites available

CROWLEY, Texas, May 23, 2011 – Many Texas campgrounds and RV parks are booked up for Memorial Day weekend.
But there are at least a dozen that still have sites and cabins available for the holiday weekend as of Friday.
“We have surveyed our members and at least 12 still have campsites and park model accommodations available over the holiday weekend,” said Brian Schaeffer, executive director and CEO of the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO).
Most of the parks that still have campsites can be booked through TexasCampgrounds.com. But the association is also providing phone numbers for these parks as well. They include:

  • Guadalupe River RV Park Campground and Nature Trails in Spring Branch: (830) 885-7200 or www.guadaluperv.com

  • Kenwood RV Resort in La Feria: This park is running a special for Memorial Day weekend with RV sites priced at $10 per night with a $2.50 electricity fee. (956) 797-1851 or www.sunrvresorts.com

The Texas Association of Campground Operators publishes and distributes the Texas RV Travel & Camping Guide to Texas each year.
