Gasoline prices are said to be jumping as much as 5 cents a day in California where prices for the lowest grade of gas is now at $4.15 in the bay area..Some say the President and his Energy Secretary are happy to see the jump in prices (http://tinyurl.com/6ttyjpf) as it will push the country more toward alternate energy.  “This debate is a debate we want to have,” House Speaker John Boehner told fellow Republican lawmakers in a closed-door session yesterday morning.“ Boehner is working on an energy bill that would approve the Keystone XL pipeline over President Obama's objections as well as opening many new areas to drilling oil domestically.  The plan is also a jobs bill.  While a $4 a gallon average by spring seems to be a foregone conclusion, a California distributor said yesterday he expects $6 a gallon gas in that state by summer.

*"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe."
 (U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu"
