PLU code literally means, Price Look Up code!

While you are out on the road, you may be shopping at some stores with which you may not be familiar.

It's in the produce area that you will want to know what kind of veggies and fruits they are offering.

Believe it or not, the stickers on your fruits and vegetables at the grocery store are more than just to tell the checker how much to charge.    The PLU code,  (p...

Here is a great website that we found that will show you where the closest Farmer's Market is to you...wherever you are.  Just put in your zip code.

Use the website to find farmers' markets, family farms, and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area, where you can buy produce, grass-fed meats, and many other goodies.

There's also an online store where you can buy or...

Prepare pancake mix as stated on the box.  Then pour all the batter into a large ziploc bag and freeze!  Once you are ready to use it, take it out of the freezer to thaw, snip off a corner of the bag, and you have quick & mess free pancake mix! (Just saw this on pinterest!)

Pescadeo, California

One of the little side trips you will want to take is to the historic little town of Pescadero.  The town of about 650 people is 16 miles south on Highway One and two miles east of Pescadero State Beach on Pescadero Road.  (You'll see the sign on the left marking the town)

Many of the buildings in town date from the 19th Century.

Heading to town, you'll first pass the Pescadero March.  Located where the Pe...

Taco Bell...really?  Now I wouldn't have wasted my time posting about a fast food place if it wasn't incredible.   I'm talking about the location and design more than I am the food, although I love Taco Bell and their food is consistant from store to store.

This Taco Bell sits right on the Pacifica State Beach and the views of the ocean don't get any better.   The back patio, which features tables and benches, sits right...

Right across Hwy 1 within walking distance from Pillar Point RV Park is Creekside Smokehouse.   It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside, well, it doesn't look like much on the inside you will find some really friendly folks and some of the best smoked fish and cheese in the area.

We tried ...
In our opinion, there's really only one choice for breakfast....
3 Zero Cafe

Now if you ask owner Mark Smith what 3 Zero stands for, he'll slap you on the back with a laugh and tell you it stands for him and his two ex-wives...   but then he'll let you know 3 zero is aviator talk for a compass sett...
