DEVIL'S SLIDE TRAIL

Devil's Slide Trail, a 1.3-mile path for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders is finally open. It's the latest addition to the San Mateo County Parks system. Point Lobos State Reserve - Laguna Seca RV Park - Carmel, CA

A great place for a hike, a bike ride, to dive or watch birds is Point Lobos, located just off Highway 1 headed south toward Big Sur.    (see the video below)

SCUBA diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding reservations can be made for Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Reservations can be made 60 days  in advance or as little as one day in advance.

Kamp Klamath - Visiting Fern Canyon

One of the most breathtaking places I've ever seen is a place called Fern Canyon.   If you have just one more day, this is a must see thing to do.

We shared the experience with Kamp Klamath owner, Aaron Funk and his friend, Carol.  He told us the history of Gold Bluff and Fern Canyon and how it relates to the early gold miners.  You can hear his explanation on RVdream.com in the video playlist marked Fern Canyon.
