DEVIL'S SLIDE TRAIL

Devil's Slide Trail, a 1.3-mile path for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders is finally open. It's the latest addition to the San Mateo County Parks system. The trail, built over what was a section of Highway One, has been repaved.  Restrooms have been added to the parking lots and there are three overlooks. A great place for a hike, a bike ride, to dive or watch birds is Point Lobos, located just off Highway 1 headed south toward Big Sur.    (see the video below)

SCUBA diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding reservations can be made for Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Reservations can be made 60 days  in advance or as little as one day in advance.

One of the most breathtaking places I've ever seen is a place called Fern Canyon.   If you have just one more day, this is a must see thing to do.
