What started out as a single cherry stand by the junction of highways 156 and 152 is now a major complex of food, fruit and fun! Our family has loved stopping by Casa de Fruta on our way to Fresno (college student) and any time we had to hop on Highway 5.
Besides the fruits and nuts and specialty food items, there is a 24 hour gas station, 24 hour restaurant, a hotel, a deli, a candy store, a wine store and a large, beautiful RV park with trees, grass, swimming pool, meeting room, basketball court, outdoor BBQ facilities and more. Casa de Fruta is a family run enterprise with the family actually on the premises working! Everyone is friendly and happy to see you.
For the kids there is a merry-go-round and miniature train rides as well as a fully equipped playground, swimming pool, basketball court and all kinds of running around in green grass in the RV Park.
Casa de Fruta is easily accessible from Highway 5 or Highway 101, and is on the way to practically any place you'd like to go, including San Francisco, the Monterey Bay Area, and Yosemite National Park.
