It was early evening and time to get to work by time we arrived at
Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles, California, so we didn't have time to look around, but let me tell you, waking up at Wine Country RV is pure delight.

Since it was Ground Hog's Day, I was feeling a bit of kindship with "Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators and Weather Prophet Extraordinary", as I raised my head and peaked between the thin horizontal blinds to see what kind of day it was. If it was cloudy, I was going to go back to bed for another six hours...and if it was sunny, I was going to get up and take our ever patient Golden Retriever, Easter, for a walk. Luckily, for both of us, I not only saw blue skies out my window, but the sight of lush green grass, manicured plants and trees and a vineyard where you can see the beautiful structure of the grape vines.
First things first, we took a jaunt to the dog walk where there was plenty of room for Easter to stretch his legs and follow his morning routine. Benches and doggy mitts were available for the human partners to use. Even this area is surrounded by lush greenery. I was impressed by the beautiful terracing of the sites as we made our way to the top of the hill to reach one of the two clubhouses.

The bathrooms are beautiful tile and sport lots of room. The Clubhouse has a big carpeted room with 2 of the walls being windows overlooking the area, grass, charming walkways, vineyard views and a BBQ area. My first thought is that it would be a great place for a wedding or anniversary party. Also there's a work out room and a path to an adults only spa.

We discovered a gate that leads to the
Firestone Vineyards, that edge the resort. Sure enough, you are able to walk amongst the vines and meander over to the Firestone Winery for a tasting if you so desire. Dogs are welcome in this area as well. Can't wait to see it during the summer when everything is green and the grapes are hanging down!
Our walk took us ba

ck down to the main clubhouse where there's a game room, a swimming pool and hot tub, as well as a laundry room, more bathrooms and a store that carries every day essentials along with a lovely selection of wine oriented gifts.
Friday and Saturday, Ham and I am going to explore the area more....there's a large water park across the street, some farmers markets, museums and some olive tastings I want to go to...I'll let you know how it went! There are also a large number of wineries in the area that offer tastings. For now, we're just enjoying being in such beautiful surroundings and soaking up the sunshine!
P.S. Just want
