Remember Our Veterans

We know a lot of RVer's have served our country.   You will see them proudly display their flags and unit symbols and it makes one feel even more comfortable to be camping next to a veteran.   Just three miles down Midway Road from Vineyard RV Park, you'll find the Sacramento National Cemetery.

We were passing by and were first amazed at seeing the rows of identical markers, standing white and bright on the grounds.  We later visited and found it a truly moving experience.  I created a slideshow of our time and you'll find it below...

Not only are you touched by so many who have given their lives for our freedom, but to see all the temporary markers, holding a place for the headstone...those who have passed just recently and you know someone is newly grieving.

We should all thank our nations sons and daughters, and their families, for their sacrifices every day.

The cemetery is beautifully manicured, has an outdoor ampitheater, several shaded areas for memorial gatherings, a grave locator and a reflecting pool with a fountain.

For anyone who wishes to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made for us in the name of freedom, it's a good place to visit.
