PHILADELPHIA, PA January 23, 2012 – Beasley Broadcast Philadelphia welcomes radio personality Steve Tingle to Wired 96.5 WRDW-FM. Effective immediately, Tingle joins the popular Chio & Shila in the Morning show airing weekdays 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on 96.5 FM and online at www.wired965.com. He reports to the station’s Program Director Daniel Hunt.
Steve Tingle's start in radio was equivalent to an individual winning the lottery. In 1998, he won a radio contest to be a DJ for alternative-formatted KEDJ-FM in Phoenix Arizona. After a year working for "The Edge" he then was hired to do mornings across the street on POWER 92. Seven years later, transferring to a larger market, Steve handled mornings on Q101 in Chicago.
Dan Hunt, Program Director, says, “Steve is one of the funniest people I have ever met and I look forward to hearing him make our listeners laugh daily as I drive to work! Tingle will be a huge addition to our live and local morning show, Chio and Shila, and provide a humorous perspective on Philly.”
Says VP Market Manager Natalie Conner, “Steve brings with him an unmatched passion for radio and a keen comedic presence. He’s going to be a tremendous asset to Wired’s morning show.”
“The excitement I feel about joining the Wired family,” says Steve, “is overwhelming! Not only is the station outstanding but the PEOPLE for whom I am going to work are first class."
