We were fortunate to spend the Memorial Day Weekend at the San Lorenzo Regional Park and RV Park in King City, Ca. Located on acres of flat, heavily treed land, San Lorenzo is the perfect place to truly kick back and enjoy the good life. San Lorenzo hosts RV's and tent campers to its location.
The park was jumping with several large groups hosting events this past weekend. The Paso Bible Church was here and cooked up tons of tri-tip and served their group in the smaller of two clubhouses. Also having an absolute ball was nearly 100 members of the "Jimenez Family Reunion" group. Their members came from all over California and Arizona to see each other and commune with nature.
Even with all the activity here this weekend, the park remains beautifully cleaned and manicured. Everyone left the park just as they found it.
While it is known that King City gets warm in the summer...(85 degrees is usually the highest) what is not widely talked about is that there is a strong cool breeze in the afternoon that cools things down and by bed time, it's actually a little chilly! I can deal with the warm daytime if the nights are cool and peaceful.
San Lorenzo Park offers a shaded campground with tent camping, RV hook-ups and pull-through sites. A total of 83 hook-up sites are available including 45 pull-through sites with access to water and electric hook-ups, 25 pull-through sites with sewer, water and electric hook-ups, 10 tent camping sites with water availability and 13 back-in sites with hook-ups for water and electricity.
