Sally's computer suddenly won't see WI-FI in the resort. First thing we did was to go to "Network Connections" in "Control Panel" and see that her Wi-Fi card didn't show up. Next we went into "Device Manager" then to "Network Connections" and saw the wi-fi card was there, but had a little yellow error message beside it.  First thing I tried was to update the driver, but that failed. Obviously, something strange has happened to the registry..something got loaded, changed, etc, by something on a site that got loaded.  So, what to do?  When all else fails...."System Restore!"  We  go from Windows XP to Windows 7 and can't always remember where to find things.  So, I just hit the Windows "start" icon in the bottom left and typed in "system restore."  It took me to a link and I selected "System Restore" and it gave me half a dozen choices...I picked one about 5 days ago and let it run.  About 10 minutes later, it rebooted the computer, found the wi-fi card connected to the wi-fi and all is well.  I keep forgetting the magic fix...System Restore....Maybe this will help you in the future.

By the way, while I'm at it, I want to mention the fantastic wi-fi at Pismo Coast Village in Pismo Beach, California.  It's the best in the country!
